The CEESTAR is a compact fully functional dual frequency survey echo sounder that allows fast acquisition of bathymetric data with the minimum of fuss.

It has all the facilities that you would expect in a survey echo sounder, these include; independant draft setting for each channel. Sound velocity entry, manual or automatic, tide from tide gauge or RTK input and heave input. Having its own internal rechargeable battery makes the CEESTAR a stand alone, portable instrument.

A very useful feature is the capability to accept an external GPS position and combine this position with the measured depths and output both in one ASCII RS 232 serial data string. Software packages such as HYPACK MAX can accept single data inputs which include position and depth, making possible the use of a single RS232 communication port and so helping to reduce latency.
Data output is possible in a number of formats; including CEEDUCER, Odom, Atlas & NMEA plus variations to include time, depths at a variable ping rate, GPS position with or without height, and at variable baud rates.
